CHOOSING THE TEMPERATURE MEASURING UNIT (C° OR F°)
USING THE PRODUCT
• Press the on/off button to turn on the thermometer. You can switch between °C
(Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit) by holding down the [MEM] button.
FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE
Remove the cap from the probe to take a temperature, in forehead
or ear mode.
• Remove the probe cap.
• Press the mode button to select ‘take forehead temperature’.
(Check that the probe is clean before taking a temperature).
• Place the probe on the top of the temple.
• Press the ‘take temperature’ button and hold it down for 2 seconds.
• Keep the thermometer on your temple until you hear two beeps.
• Then remove the thermometer from the temple.
• The temperature will be displayed and the colour red or green
depending on the result.
• After 1 second, you can retake your temperature.
• Temperature is automatically memorised.
The forehead temperature may be affected by external climatic
conditions so, in case of doubt, do not hesitate to take the ear
temperature.
Green: 38.0°C (100.4°F) ~ 42.9°C (109.3°F)
Red: 34.0°C (93.2°F) ~ 37.9°C (100.3°F)
CAUTION:
External factors may influence forehead temperature particularly when
an individual has:
- been exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures.
- been recently swimming or bathing.
- had their forehead covered.
In these cases, let the individual stay away from the above scenario and station in a
room for 30 minutes prior to talking a temperature.
