3. FORD Gasoline powered machines: Pull
out the choke knob when the engine is cold.
Push in the choke knob after the engine is
running smoothly.
NOTE: Machines with GM engines have an ECU
(Electronic Control Unit) which does not require
any cold starting procedures.
FORD LPG powered machines for machines
before serial number 003144: When the
engine is cold and exposed to cold
temperatures; open the engine cover, press
the primer button on the LPG vaporizer, and
close the engine cover.
FORD LPG powered machines for machines
serial number 003145 to 003178: When the
engine is cold and exposed to cold
temperatures; open the engine cover, press
the primer button on the LPG controller, and
close the engine cover.
4. Turn the ignition switch key clockwise until
the engine starts.
NOTE: When restarting GM engines, you must
wait 15--20 seconds before the starter motor will
engage again.
NOTE: Do not operate the starter motor for more
than 10 seconds at a time or after the engine has
started. Allow the starter to cool between starting
attempts or damage to the starter motor may
occur.
