TO CHECK AND ADJUST MAIN BRUSH
PATTERN
FOR SAFETY: Before Leaving Or Servicing
Machine; Stop On Level Surface, Place Shifter
In Park.
1. Find a level floor surface. Apply a coating of
papier--mach’e to the floor.
2. Park the machine over the test area.
3. Start the machine and lower the brush. Run
the brush for 1 minute. Raise the brush and
turn off the machine. Move the machine off
the test area.
4. Check the pattern the main brush left on the
floor. The brush pattern should be even all
the way across. If the pattern is even----no
adjustment is needed. If the brush pattern
has any taper----go to the next step.
5. Go to the back of the machine and locate
the left hand brush arm. Loosen the hex
screw and nut holding the left brush arm to
the brush shaft. Move the left brush arm up
or down in the slot to achieve an even brush
pattern. Re--tighten the hardware to
18 -- 24Nm (15 -- 20 ft lb).
6. Follow steps 1 thru 4 to re--check the brush
pattern.
