7. BASIC FUNCTIONS
7.1 Making a call
There are six ways
to make a call. Choose one way as shown below, then press the
key
to launch the call.
From the main screen, enter the number directly using the keypad.
Press the
key to access call logs and select the number to call.
Go to
Menu
->
Contacts
, or press the right
key to access the phonebook. Then
select a contact.
From the main screen, hold down a numeric key (2 to 9) to make a speed dial. For more
information, see "7.5 Making a speed dial" on page 17.
From the main screen, press the
or
key to make a direct call. For more
information, see "7.6 Making a direct call" on page 17.
From the main screen, press the key to access quick dial for photo contact. For more
information, see "7.7 Making a quick call for photo contact" on page 17.
To end a call, press the
key.
Tip:
To adjust the volume during call, press the / or the volume keys.
7.2 Answering an incoming call
There are two key ways to answer a call:
Press the
key to answer a call.
Press the left
key, then select
Options > Answer
.
To end a call, press the
key.
Tip:
To mute incoming call without rejecting it, press the right
key.

During a call, press the right
key to select
H-Free
to activate loudspeaker or
H-Held
to deactivate loudspeaker.

During a call, select
Options
by pressing the left
key to see the available options:
Hold
Put current call on hold. Select
Options > Hold
to hold the
current. To re-connect the call which is put on hold, select
Select
Options > Retrieve
.
End
End the current call.
New call
Make a call or save a phone number. Select
Options > New
call
, and enter a phone number. Then select
Options
to access
Call
to call the number, or access
Save to contacts
to save the
number.
Phonebook
Access the phonebook.
Call logs
Access call history.
Messages
Access the Messaging menu. Edit and send a message.
