FER785-MM Diode Laser Source User Manual

Issue 2

All FER785-MM Diode Laser Source units are shipped with a 3.5 mm shorting pin
pre-installed on the ILOK connector.

•

If the Remote Interlock feature will not be utilized, this shorting pin should
remain in place, and the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source will operate normally.

•

To use the Remote Interlock feature, obtain a 3.5 mm mono connector and a
sufficient number of NORMALLY OPEN switches (i.e., one switch per door,) for
the application. Then wire the interlock switch(es) in series.

NOTES:

1. The Remote Interlock connector only accepts 3.5 mm

mono phono jack connectors. This connector is
available at most electrical supply shops.

2. All interlock switches must be NORMALLY OPEN, dry

contacts.
