Chapter 3: Operation
WARNING!
Always observe proper laser safety when operating this
source.
This chapter provides information about the use and operation of the FER785-MM
Diode Laser Source.
1. Remove the Dust Cap/Beam Attenuator that is secured to the FC/PC fiber terminal.
See Figure 3-1 .

2. For fiber coupling applications, attach a 105 micron core diameter 0.22 NA fiber to
the FC/PC terminal located at the head of the laser housing.
3. Secure the emission end of the fiber to the appropriate terminal in the experiment.
