CLEANING THE BATTERY CONTACTS

To maintain a good charge, it is important to clean all charging contacts on the Handset and
Base Unit. Use a pencil eraser of other contact cleaner. DO NOT use any liquids or sol-
vents.

ADJUSTING THE RING VOLUME

To adjust the ringer volume of the Base Unit, locate the respective “Line Ringing Volume”
adjustment control on the back of the telephone labeled RINGER LOW/HI (see diagram on
page 9). Slide the switch to the desired LOW or HI ring volume for each line.

ADJUSTING SPEAKERPHONE VOLUME

The SPEAKERPHONE has eight (8) levels. When the speakerphone is activated, the vol-
ume is set at Level Six (6). 

Locate the VOLUME keys, labeled “-” and “+” at the bottom of the phone. Pressing the “-”
key decreases the volume level while pressing the “+” key will increase it. Disconnecting
the call for over ten seconds will reset the volume to Level Six (6). If the speakerphone is
off for less then two seconds, the volume will not be reset and continue to be set at the last
used volume level.

ADJUSTING HANDSET RECEIVE VOLUME

The Handset has four (4) levels. When the Handset is activated, the volume is set at Level
Two (2). Locate the VOLUME keys, labeled “-” and “+” at the bottom of the phone.
Pressing the “-” key decreases the volume level while pressing the “+” key will increase it.
Disconnecting the call for over two seconds will reset the volume to Level Two (2). If the
Handset is off for less then two seconds, the volume will not be reset and continue to be set
at the last used volume level.

AUTO-DIAL KEY PROGRAMMING

The CL2905 has five (5) programmable AUTO DIAL keys and the CL2910 has ten(10).
These keys can be programmed to automatically dial telephone numbers, or activate tele-
phone system features.

PROGRAMMING AUTO DIAL KEYS:
The Auto Dial keys can only be programmed from the base unit.

1.  Connect the CL2910/2905 to a live telephone line.
2.  Press the SPEAKERPHONE key.
3.  Press the recessed STORE key and release it. (Please see diagram on page 9 for key

location).

4.  Enter the telephone number including PAUSE* as required. The sequence can be up to

15 digits including PAUSE and FLASH.

5.  Press the STORE key again.
6.  Press the AUTO DIAL key where the number is to be stored.
7.  Press the SPEAKERPHONE key to disconnect.

*A 3.6 second pause is entered in a dialing sequence by pressing the
REDIAL key for each PAUSE required.

SELECTING LINE 1 AND LINE 2

The Cordless’ PrimeLine/RingLine Select feature makes selecting the correct line as easy
as lifting the handset. This feature prioritizes the ringing or idle line and reduces the confu-
sion of line selection.

RECEIVING A CALL 

An audible ring and flickering red LED indicate an inbound call. 

USING THE CORDLESS HANDSET
1.  Pick up the Handset.
2.  Press the line key associated with the ringing line. The Handset will go off hook

answering the ringing line.

3.  To end the call place the Handset in the base or press the lit line key on the Handset.

USING THE CORDLESS HANDSET FROM THE BASE
1.  Lift the Handset. The Handset will automatically connect the ringing line.
2.  To end the call replace the Handset in the base or press the lit line key on the Handset.

USING THE SPEAKERPHONE
1.  Press the line key associated with the ringing line. The speakerphone will go off hook

answering the ringing line.

OR

2.  Press the SPEAKER key. The telephone will select the ringing line and answer with

the speakerphone active.

Note:

The red SPEAKER LED will indicate that the speakerphone is active.

PLACING A CALL

USING THE HANDSET
1.  Press the LINE 1 or LINE 2 key. The telephone will go off hook on the selected line.
2.  Listen for dial tone, dial the desired number.
3.  To end call the call press the LINE key again.

USING THE SPEAKERPHONE
1.

Press the LINE 1 or LINE 2 key. The telephone will go off hook on the selected line
with speakerphone active.

OR

Press the SPEAKER key. The telephone will select the appropriate “idle” line.

NOTE:

The red SPEAKER LED will indicate that the speakerphone is active.

2.  Listen for dial tone, dial the desired number, or press an AUTO DIAL key to automat-

ically dial a number.

3.  To end call the call press the SPEAKER key again.

REDIAL ON BASE

Dials the last number dialed.

REDIAL/FLASH ON HANDSET

Dials the last number dialed when a new call is being made. During a call, this button will
initiate a 600 ms hook flash when pressed.
