4.1. Configuration example intercom
station
It was decided to use a Behnke Series 5
Intercom station with two direct call buttons.
The Behnke device was installed and then con-
nected to an extension of the telephone system
with the relay wired to hold the open door func-
tion. Pressing direct call button 1 shall establish
a connection to the reception (extension 111)
and pressing direct call button 2 shall establish
a connection to the warehouse (extension 222).
Entering code 99 shall open the door and the
relay shall be activated for 3 seconds. Addition-
ally, the volume shall be increased slightly and
to prevent unauthorised access, the security
code shall be changed to 1234.
Starting from the default setting the following
configurations need to be changed:
* ▸ Activate set-up mode
0000 ▸ Enter the security code
21 111# ▸ Save telephone no. 111 for direct call button 1
22 222# ▸ Save telephone no. 222 for direct call button 2
09 3 # ▸ Change the activation interval for the relay to
open the door to 3 seconds
10 99 # ▸ Change the default activation code for the
relay to 99
06 8 # ▸ Change the volume to value 8
01 1234 1234 # ▸ Change the security code to 1234
* ▸ Terminate set-up mode
