Diagnostics
LED Functions
After completing the installation, verify proper operation of the unit by checking the status LEDs
(
Power, Ready, Voice ) whose functions are described in the table below:
LED Mode H.323, MGCP, SIP Status Downloader Status
Power Steady glow Power OK Power OK
Ready Blinking Application OK Loader OK
Voice Steady glow Gateway registered with Gatekeeper /
Call Agent
F.O.
LNK/ACT Blinking Link/Activity on the SFP port.
(Located above the reset button)
LAN
LNK/ACT Blinking Link/Activity on the LAN ports
(One per LAN port)
Reset Hardware reset button
Post Installation Status
After successfully Installing the VoIP Gateway Board Enclosure , the LEDs will be in the following
state:
•
Power: ON
•
Ready: Blinking
•
F.O. LNK/ACT: ON
NOTE The Voice LED turns ON only after the successful registration of the GW-483S
with the SIP or MGCP server.
If any of the above LEDs shows a different state, press the Reset button (see Figure 1 ) and wait for
few seconds.
Debug
To perform more extensive debug, please refer to GW-483S User Guide (MN100112) .
The more extensive debug requires the connection of the supplied console cable (see Figure 13 )
between the Console Port (see Figure 6 ) and a serial port of an external PC.
