Removal and Installation Procedures

RTX130B QAM & VSB RF Signal Generator Service Manual

Doing the Performance Verification and Running Sysprep.

If you replace the hard

disk drive, you must perform the following steps:

NOTE

. On B020000 and above, the Sysprep is already activated for

650--5181--00.

Perform the performance verification procedures (refer to

Performance

Verification

on page 3-1).

Run the sysprep batch file:

Select

File

Exit

to exit the RTX130B application. The Windows XP

desktop appears.

Select

Start

Run

to open the Run dialog box.

Click the

Browse

button.

Select

C:\Sysprep\sysprep.bat

Click the

button.

Assemble equipment and locate modules to be removed:

You need a screwdriver with a T-10 Torx tip.

Locate the fans in the locator diagram

Internal modules,

Figure 4-4,

on page 4-13.

Orient the instrument:

Set the RTX130B so its bottom is down on the work

surface and its front is facing you.

Remove the internal fan:

See Figure 4-12 on page 4-29.

Disconnect the cable from J180 on the A20 PCI Backplane board.

Remove the two rivets securing the fan to the chassis.

Lift the fan up out of the chassis.

Reinstallation:

Perform step 3 in reverse order to reinstall the internal fan.

Remove the external fan:

See Figure 4-12 on page 4-29.

Set the RTX130B so its bottom is down on the work surface and its rear

is facing you.

Disconnect the cable from J190 on the A20 PCI Backplane board.

Use a screwdriver with a T-10 Torx tip to remove the four screws

securing the fan and fan cover to the chassis.
