3.
Remove, check and clean if necessary, the filter of the pump
4.
Adjustment of the pressure switches of security with tests.
5.
Audit of the functioning of the cooling circuit (control good heat exchange, operation
regulator etc.). Control of temperatures, pressure, overheating etc. anywhere on the HP and BP
installation circuit.
6.
Check the oil level of the compressor.
7.
Search for leaks.
8.
Stop the installation. On the hydraulic circuit, check the absence of air in all high points,
and purge if necessary.
9.
Make a general inspection of the installation (cleanliness of installation, abnormal noise,
etc.).
10.
Ensure the settings of controls and safety devices are correct and functioning properly.
11.
Conduct and record an operating survey (see below)
The operating survey includes:
•
The circuit of refrigeration (temperature, pressure etc.),
•
The hydraulic circuit (Pasp pump, PRef pump, exchanger input/output temp, etc.),
•
The electric side, voltage, motor intensity, etc.
The lack of refrigerant can be characterised by:
- Values of high and low pressure which are too low
- Abnormally high overheating
- The presence of bubbles in the sigh glass.
The excessive refrigerant load can be characterised by:
- A high pressure value which is too high
- Excessive consumption of the compressor
- Considerable subcooling
- Insufficient superheating or even a return of liquid
Condenser
The condenser and chiller must be cleaned at least once a year. The frequency of this cleaning depends
on the location and environment. The inside of the chiller can be accessed by removing the fan cover
(see Section 6.7). When cleaning, ensure that air can circulate in the feet.
Hydraulic pump
Regularly check for air at the level of the top cover of the pump (electric motor). In the event of
contamination, the air supply must be ensured so that the engine is cooled enough.
It is possible that a few drops of brine may leak from the pump at the level of the mechanical seal during
normal operation.
Attention: Risk of automatic starting of the pump (see Section 3.6).
