To Lock a Channel
This function allows you to set a password to gain access
to channels that have the lock applied.
1. Press
the
D.MENU
button then the
OK
button to
display the CHANNEL LIST.
2. Use
the
buttons
to navigate through the
CHANNEL LIST until you reach the channel you want
to lock.
3. Use
the
buttons
to step along the options.
Highlight LOCK.
4. Press
the
OK
button to set the lock. You will be asked to enter the lock key.
5. Enter the lock key using the numeric buttons. The default lock key is ‘0000’. To change the lock
key see ‘Parental Settings’.
6. The lock symbol appears alongside the selected channel in the list.
When an attempt is made to view a locked channel the lock key will be requested. You will only
be able to watch this channel if you enter the correct lock key. If you enter the wrong number the
WRONG LOCK KEY message will be displayed.
To remove the channel lock, repeat the procedure above. The lock symbol will be removed.
CHANNEL INFORMATION
You can view the channel information by pressing the
INFO
button. A typical information window is shown.
To remove the information window press the
INFO
button
again.
The information window shows:
• Current channel selected
• A symbol indicating the type of sound broadcast (e.g. I/II stereo)
• A symbol indicating the type of broadcast, e.g. TV, radio or text
• Time
• Signal strength
• Current and next programs with their times
