User Handbook

Note:

 In PROGRAM mode, if you stop the disc and 

then press PLAY, the disc will play from track 1 as 

normal but the program will still be in the memory.
• 

To replay the program:

 Press PROGRAM 

followed by PLAY.

• 

To check the contents of a program:

 In STOP 

mode press PROGRAM repeatedly – the track 

numbers will display in order.

• 

To clear the program: 

Press STOP  . Now open 

and close the CD door.

•  Switching the FUNCTION SWITCH to the TAPE 

(OFF) position will stop the CD and erase any 

program contents.

In Program mode SKIP, Search and REPEAT are all 

available.

After Using The CD

•  Press STOP. 
•  Switch the FUNCTION SWITCH to TAPE (OFF).
•  Open the CD Door, remove the disc and close 

the door.

•  Replace the CD in its packing and store it safely.

USING THE CASSETTE TAPE PLAYER

General Operation

Pause

Stop/Eject

Fast 

Forward

Fast 

Rewind

Play

Record

Stop / Eject Key   

This key stops all tape functions. Press once to stop 

the tape. A second press opens the tape door to load 

and remove tapes.

Fast Forward / Fast Reverse Keys   / 

Press the appropriate key to fast wind the tape in the 

forward or reverse directions. When the tape reaches 

the end, press the STOP/EJECT key.   

Play Key 

Press this key to start playing the tape.

Pause Key 

Press this key to pause the tape temporarily. Do not 

leave a tape in pause mode for long periods.

Record Key 

Press this key together with the play key to record a 

tape.

Playing A Tape

•  Set the function selector to TAPE.
•  Open the cassette door with the STOP/EJECT 

button.   

•  Load a cassette with the tape side up. Close the 

door.

•  Press the PLAY key. 
•  To pause the tape: Press PAUSE  . Press PAUSE   

again to restart.

•  Press STOP/ EJECT     when you are finished.

Recording From The Radio

•  Set the FUNCTION selector to TUNER and tune 

the station.

•  Load a cassette with the tape side up. Close the 

door.

•  Press RECORD   and PLAY   together to start 

recording.

•  Press the STOP/ EJECT      button when you are 

finished.

Recording From A CD

•  Set the FUNCTION selector to CD.
•  Load a cassette with the tape side up. Close the 

door.

•  Press PAUSE   and then press RECORD. 

The cassette tape is now in STANDBY mode

•  Start the CD player and press PAUSE   on the 

Cassette.

•  The Cassette will start recording the CD.

To Stop Recording

•  Press STOP/ EJECT     to stop the cassette 

player.
