Diplex filters
1. To remove a diplex filter: Either place a Technetix DBGB-A-1
Digital Broadband Diplex grabber tool on the PCB, or
grip the center of the PCB with a pair of linesman’s pliers,
and gently pull out the diplex filter vertically, avoiding
risk of damage to the connectors. It requires a significant
amount of force to remove the diplex filters because they
are designed to stay in place in order to maintain good
electrical contact.

DBx diplex filter removal tool
With the roll-out of 204 MHz in sight MSOs are starting to plan
a diplex filter upgrade in their access network. The DBGB-A-1
is an easy-to-use tool to make these upgrades simpler. You
can slide it around the diplex filter PCB and easily take it out
of the DBx product. It also aids the process of pushing the
new diplex filter into the DBx product.
