9.1 Shutdown

9.1.1 Taking Out-of-Service Procedure

Taking Out of

Service

To take the instrument out of service for storage or shipping, i.e. if you intend to
shut down the instrument for a longer period of time, proceed as follows:

WARNING

Chemical, biological and radioactive hazards can be associated with the
substances used or the samples processed with the Te-Stack.



Thoroughly decontaminate all relevant parts.



When storing the Te-Stack, fill in an “Instrument Decontamination” form and
keep it within the package.

Save data, exit application software, and instrument software.

Switch the Freedom EVO instrument off. Wait until the green light is dark.

Unplug the CAN port cable(s) between Te-Stack and Freedom EVO.

Remove and clean all stacker columns. Carry out the appropriate de-
contamination procedure.
