Pitch control (TAPE 1 only)
The pitch can be controlled during TAPE 1 playback .
Turning the PITCH CONTROL knob clockwise () increases
the playback speed and raises the pitch .
(The maximum is 12%, which is about two semitones higher .)
Turning this knob counterclockwise (toward −) reduces the play-
back speed and lowers the pitch .
(The maximum is 12%, which is about two semitones lower .)

This function is disabled when recording and dubbing . This can
only be used to adjust playback .
Tape counter
Press a COUNTER RESET button to reset that tape counter to “

You can use this function for easy relocation of any desired point on
the tape . Using this with the “Returning to zero” function described
in the following section can be convenient .
Returning to zero
Press the RETURN TO ZERO button to fast-forward or rewind the
TAPE 1 or TAPE 2 until the counter reaches “
” and the tape
stops .
