fore sets itself automatically at normal status SIDE1 (assuming that the lines are
perfect).
The installation of the lines required for automatic reverse switching should be car-
ried out in accordance with the following installation plan.
The main path (path in the event of perfect operation) is installed on SIDE1.
The reserve path (reserve path) is installed on SIDE2.
The modem connection must be installed with the bunch of trunks from SIDE2
in order to guarantee the communication even in the event of damage to the
cable of the main path.
The monitoring of the cable in the main path must be carried out by means of
the external FSA-PLUS Switcher. In the event of a failure of the lines in the re-
serve path (SIDE2), it is then possible to determine whether the failure is
caused by the modem connection or the lines.
