Shell hemming
Shell hemming involves reverse-side
blind stitching. This stitch is mainly
used for decorative edging on fine non-
stretch and stretch fabrics.
The zig-zag border should be right at
the edge of the fabric .
Gathering
Gathering can be used for hems, table
sets, handkerchiefs and so on. Gathe-
ring is also appropriate for butting and
for attaching lace. The seam stretches.
Fancy elastic stitching
Use the fancy elastic stitch as a flat
joining stitch to sew on elastic or for
normal hems. This stitch is appropriate
for both woven and knitted fabrics.
Honeycomb stitching
Honeycomb stitching is suitable for
seams, hems, and T-shirts (knitted or
woven fabrics).
Sew the hem about 1 cm from the edge
of the fabric and cut off the remaining
material.
