Prior to first use
Remove the protective films from the device and

the smartphone stand.
Inserting the back-up battery
The back-up battery ensures that the settings of the clock and alarm and
the stored stations are not affected in the case of a mains failure or when
the device is disconnected from the mains.
• The back-up battery is not required to use the product.
• Using the product with the battery but without being connected
to a mains power supply is not possible.
1. Remove the screw from the battery com-
partment lid and take the lid off.
2. Insert the battery provided. Pay attention
to the polarity (+/–).
The positive terminal must face upwards!
3. Replace the battery compartment lid and
tighten the screw firmly.
Set-up and connection
1. Place the device onto a solid, level surface.
2. Fully unwind the wire antenna. Fasten the
end of the antenna as high as possible to
a wall or a piece of furniture. Use adhesive
tape if necessary.
3. Connect the mains adapter to the connec-
tion socket
