Vehicle Controls
Unless in an emergency, do not activate the
Emergency Stop Switch while the vehicle
is in motion. This vehicle is equipped
with an automatic electric parking brake.
Activating the Emergency Stop Switch
will immediately apply the brake and
abruptly stop the vehicle. This may result
in injury to the occupants and/or upsetting
the load being carried or towed.
CAUTION
Horn Switch
#1:
Press the horn switch to sound the horn,
release it to turn it off.
Start Switch
#2:
The Start switch turns the vehicle electrical
control system ON. This switch may or may
not require a key to operate. Rotate the switch
clockwise to turn the vehicle system “ON” and
counterclockwise to turn the vehicle system
“OFF”. The vehicle will not run when in the
OFF position.
The switch should be in the “OFF” position
whenever the operator leaves the driver’s seat.
This switch is designed to secure and disable
the vehicle. The key can only be removed when
the switch is in the “OFF” position.
Directional Signal Indicator Light
#3:
These lights located on opposite sides of
the display will flash when the directional signals
are activated.
Emergency Stop Switch
#4:
This switch will disconnect main power to
the controller and should only be used in an
emergency. When operated, power to the drive
motor will be interrupted, power steering and
power brakes will be lost, and the lights will turn
off. An additional Emergency Power Off Switch
is located on the rear inching panel.
Dash Display
#5:
The type of dash display will vary dependent
on the vehicle control system (Sevcon system
shown). Refer to following section for details.
Strobe Light Switch
#6:
Optional. If equipped with a strobe light, push
the top of the switch to turn the light on. Push the
bottom of the switch to turn the light off.
High Beam Indicator Light
#7:
This light located will be on when the
headlight high beams are activated.
Headlights
#8:
This is a three position rocker switch. All
lights are off when the switch is in the lowest
position (push on bottom of actuator). Only the
parking lights are on when the switch is in the
2nd position (push top of actuator 1-click from
off). All lights are on when the switch is in the 3rd
position (push top of actuator 2-clicks from off).
