5.3 MONITORING FUNCTIONS
5.3.1 Monitoring the Number of Birds
It is possible to keep a tally of the number of birds in each house. To do so,
the user must post up every mortality as they occur. Refer to section 5.2
to post up the initial number of birds.
Hint:
The following menu can quickly be accessed by pressing the corre-
sponding shortcut key.
Select the desired house from the main menu using the arrow keys.
Press the right-arrow key.
Select the
"2. # of Birds"
menu us-
ing the arrow keys. The following
pieces of information are displayed:
Entered
: shows the initial number of ani-
mals. This value is posted by the user at
the beginning of a flock (s. 5.2).
New Mortality
: Post up every new mor-
tality as they occur. The entered value
is added to the "
Mortality
" and "
Total
Mortality
" menus and removed from the
"Remaining"
number of birds after a
5 second delay.
Mortality
: today's number of mortalities.
Total Mortality
: total mortalities since the beginning of the flock.
Remaining
: Number of birds remaining in the selected house.
All these values are reset when a new flock starts (s. 5.2).
Note that these values are reset when a new flock starts.

Time Clocks:
• Using the timed feed distribution:
Clock output 1-2
Time Clock 1 is automatically used to control the output auger of
house 1; Time Clock 2 is controls the output auger of house 2 (if
applicable); in this case, no relay needs to be assigned to these clock
outputs.
Clock outputs 3-8:
Up to 8 relays can be assigned per clock output.
• Using the continuous feed distribution:
Clock outputs 1-8:
Up to 8 relays can be assigned per clock output.
Mixing Device:
Assign the module and the relay number associated with the mixer.
Accessible if the mixer is enabled (s. 5.8.2).
Scale 2 valve:
If you are using a scale with a valve, assign the module and relay num-
ber associated with the valve of the second scale This menu is only
available if two houses are enabled (s. 5.8.2). Note that scale 1 valve is
directly connected to the main controller (refer to the wiring diagram).
