8.4.

 

Bandwidth Control and Firewall Traversal 

When a Border Controller is being used to traverse a firewall, an additional subzone and zone(s) come 
into use on the Border Controller, as follows: 

•

 

A traversal zone is used to represent each zone containing a traversal client system (e.g. 
Gatekeeper or VCS) that is using this Border Controller for firewall traversal. A Border Controller 

can have up to 50 traversal zones.  

•

 

The traversal subzone represents the Border Controller itself. The traversal subzone allows you to 

control total and per-call bandwidths passing through the Border Controller. Unlike other 
subzones, no endpoints can be registered in this subzone.
