Optimising the CV-settings
Above all, the driving characteristics can be influenced by setting the CV#2
(starting voltage) and CV#5 (Maximum voltage) and for the LD-G-33, in
addition, the CV#50 to #52 (parameters of the load control).
As a rule, the following settings lead to good driving characteristics :
Motor
CV#2
CV#5
CV#50
CV#51
CV#52

Requirements for the operation with RailCom
For reading out the data via RailCom, special detectors and boosters
compatible with RailCom are required.
It is not possible to read out data via RailCom unless in the CV#29
(DCC format) or the register #07 (Motorola format) of the locomotive
decoder
RailCom is switched on.
RailCom-Messages can only be transferred in model railway layouts with
a DCC signal on the rails. When the locomotive decoder is operated in
Motorola format, RailCom messages cannot be sent unless
simultaneuously at least one other locomotive or function decoder is
controlled in DCC-Format.
