einer Kollision schützen. Prallt
das Tier gegen diese flexiblen,
weichen Wände, gibt die Innen-
wand nach und die Fäden ver-
lieren ihre Spannung (1). Dann
federt die Innenwand zurück
und die Fäden nehmen wieder
ihre ursprüngliche stabilisieren-
de Form an (2).

against the flexible wall, the in-
ner wall yields and the fibers lose
their tension (1). Then the inner
wall springs back and the fibers
assume their previous stabilizing
form (2).
