Chapter 3 Installing Printer Drivers and Utilities

consult your Windows Help for your operating system. To install the

network printer software on a computer using TCP/IP:

1. Insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive.

2. Click the

I Accept

button.

3. Click the

T8106 - Install Software

button or the

T8406 - Install

Software

button.

4. Click the

Network

button to configure the computer for network

printing.

5. Click

the

Install PostScript Driver

button or click the

Install PCL

Driver

button.

6. (Windows 95/98/ME only) Click the

Network Utilities

button to

install the network utilities.

7. (Windows 95/98/ME only) Follow the installation wizard to install

Print Monitor.

8. Click

Exit This CD

to complete the software installation process.

9. To complete the installation of the printer, assign the printer an IP

address, subnet mask, and gateway, then go to the port configuration

section for your operating system.
