European standards.
Care and safety with radio transmitters
In order to provide optimal radio performance and make sure human exposure to radio
frequency electromagnetic energy is within the recommended parameters set forth in the
regulations, always adhere to the following procedures:
When operating a portable transmitter, hold the device in a vertical position with the
microphone 4 to 6 inches (10-15cm) away from your mouth. Keep the antenna at least 1
inch (2.5cm) away from your head and body. If wearing the device near your body,
ensure the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) away from your body when transmitting.
