9.4 Pre-setting width of the windrows
It is possible to pre-set the desired width of the formed windrows positioning the crop
deflector adequately. In order to set the width, remove the locking pin and realign the
chosen slots in the outer and inner box profile of the sliding arm and secure it in place by
means of the locking pin. The four slots with 150mm spacing drilled in each of the box profile
allows for adjustment of the swath deflector in the range of 0 – 620mm. It is also possible to
mount the swath deflector more forward or aft on the telescopic arm. In order to change the
position of the tarpaulin screen in respect to the sliding arm, unscrew the 4 threaded bolts,
move the deflector forward or aft realigning the chosen slots in the range -150 – +150 [mm]
and secure it back with the bolts. The bigger is the swath, the bigger should be the distance
of the swath deflector from the raking assembly. For the smaller swath less distance is
required. It is recommended to form windrows a bit narrower than the pick-up of the baler
planned to be used with it.
Caution
Disengage the power and lower the machine down on the even
ground before carrying out any adjustments.
