Subwoofer connection:
If your DVD player, home cinema amplifier, preamplifier or decoder has line output connector,
use the line in connector of the subwoofer power amplifier to input the signal. If no, use the
high level input connector to input signal.
1 . Input signal from line in connector:
Use the audio signal cable to connect the subwoofer line in connector. If your home cinema
equipment has two channel SW outputs, connect the signal cable with rear panel L/R connector
of power amplifier. If it is one channel signal, connect the signal cable with the rear panel SUB
connector of the power amplifier.
2. Input signal from High level input connector:
Use the speaker cable to power amplifier output connector with connect the subwoofer high
level input and the main speaker cabinet input post. Make L channel to L connector and right
channel to R connector. Ensure the polar is right (+to +, - to -).
3. Make sure the connection is right. Connect the power cord with the power socket.
Test the subwoofer:
Turn on your home cinema system and set it to the right operation mode. Make sure the
active subwoofer output connector has signal output. Turn on the subwoofer power switch.
Set the phase switch to 0 position (factory setting). Adjust the volume knob and frequency
adjusting knob to 1/3 position.
Play a CD. You should hear the bass from the subwoofer.
You can also use DVD player or home cinema amplifier, or preamplifier or surround decoder
to test the subwooer. Meanwhile use this function to adjust the speaker cabinet volume of
each channel.
Note: the subwoofer only operates the received bass signal, but sometimes the signal does
not have bass (vocal dialogue, violin, quiet scene, etc)
Subwoofer adjustment
After testing the system, adjust the sound to best effect via the steps below. Pay attention the
sound change (especially the bass).
Play one powerful music or song. Carry out the steps below:
1. Position adjustment:
Use a long speaker cable to input signal from high level input connector. Put the subwoofer to
the position your want for audition. Set the volume knob to 1/3 position. Select the best place
to put the subwoofer. Note: the vent tube is on the back. It is recommended to keep it 20cm
away from the wall for best sound effect.
