CHAP.5 Network Setup
5-1 DVR Network Configuration
Please inquire your network provider first to identify what type of Internet service it provides. You need to know what follows:
(1) Upload speed: expected frame rates.
(2) Download speed: expected frame rates.
(3) Addressing: to make sure which scenario you should follow.
(4) Router or modem: to make sure which scenario you should follow.

NOTE :
1.If your provider uses PPPoE (usually a DSL provider does), you MUST have a router installed and follow instructions in “5-4
Dynamic IP of PPPoE (DSL) (on the page 36)” for DVR setup and access.
2.Please verify the Internet access after installing any new equipment (a router, a switch, a modem, etc.).
TCP/IP Setting of your PC
Before configuring the DVR, please fill out the information listed below if available.
Choose any PC on your network and determine its TCP/IP setting.
IP Address: (ex.192.168.1.5)
Subnet Mask: (ex. 255.255.255.0)
Default Gateway: (ex.192.168.1.1)

for configuring and accessing your DVR via the TCP/IP.
