Some channels may always transmit at low power.
To turn low power transmit on or off for all channels:

Radio settings

Functions
>
Low power tx
.
(Depending on how your radio is programmed, you
may be able to press a function key to turn low
power transmit on or off.)

(or
Off
) and press
Select
. (The current
setting is highlighted.)
The message
Low power tx activated
(or
deactivated
) appears in the display.
Customizing the audible alert
settings
The radio uses audible tones to alert you to its status:
■
Radio controls and keypress tones—the beeps
you hear when you press your radio’s keys or use
the controls. (You can turn these tones off—see
“Turning off radio controls and keypress tones” on
page 113
.)
■
Incoming call tone—when the radio is receiving
a call.
■
Warning tones—when there is an error.
Changing the volume of all audible tones
You can set the volume of all the audible sounds that
the radio makes to indicate what is happening.
