Service Manual

Disassembly and Re-assembly of Radio

May 2004 © Tait Electronics Limited

Close Radio Body

Secure the lid and cover of the radio body as follows:

1.

If an options board is installed in the lid of the radio body,
reconnect the options loom to the internal options connector on
the main board. This is best done with the lid placed next to the
chassis as shown in

2.

Place the lid in position on the chassis. Ensure that the main seal
in the lid is properly seated.

3.

Screw in by hand the four screws that secure the lid. Ensure that
the screws start easily and are not cross-threaded. Then use a Torx
T20 torque-driver to tighten the screws to 2.5 N

m (22 lbf

in).

4.

Fit the cover of the radio body.

5.
