T801-4 Installation and Operation Manual

Upgrading the Satsync 7 Firmware

The PC software required to upload firmware updates to the Satsync 7 
module(s) is provided on the T801-4 product CD in the “Loader” folder.

Note

Disconnect the ET software from the T801-4 before uploading 
firmware.

1.

Copy the Loader executable file from the product CD to a folder of 
your choice on your PC.  The original file name of the software will 
be “PC0851xxx.exe”, where xxx refers to the version number.  You 
can change the file name to something more recognisable if necessary.

2.

Download the firmware .hex file to the same folder on your PC from 
the Tait Technical Support website (

www.taitworld.com/technical

).

3.

Using the supplied cable, connect a serial port on your PC to the 
appropriate programming port on the T801-4 front panel.  This cable 
is an ordinary (straight through) RS-232 cable and is available 
separately (order code TBA0P10).

4.

Power up the T801-4.

5.

Run the Loader software.  The following screen appears.

6.

Close the Connect dialog box.  Select Options > COM Port and 
select the correct COM port.
