Turning Economy Mode On and Off
To turn economy mode on and off:
■
Press the assigned function key.
OR
1 Enter the user settings menu as described at the
beginning of this section.
2 Short press the menu key, then scroll through the
available menu options until
ECONOMY is displayed.
3 Short press the menu key to turn economy mode on
and off.
4 Long press the menu key to exit menu mode.
Turning Low Power Transmit On and Off
To turn low power transmit on and off:
■
Press the assigned function key.
OR
1 Enter the user settings menu as described at the
beginning of this section.
2 Short press the menu key, then scroll through the
available menu options until
LOW PWR is displayed.
3 Short press the menu key to turn low power on and
off.
4 Long press the menu key to exit menu mode.
Note: Some channels may have been
programmed to always transmit at low power.
Choosing a Radio Microphone Setting
The radio microphone has two modes of operation:
■
Normal mode: The radio microphone is held
about 15 cm away from the mouth.
■
Handset mode: The radio is operated like a
telephone handset. This is particularly useful in noisy
environments or when privacy is required.
