CHAPTER 6 MAINTENANCE

This chapter gives you the information of maintenance and the required instruments in
order to let you recover the troubles quickly.

The only instrument you need is a mult-meter, due to the embedded digital and analog
test abilities.

(B) Be sure that the indicators function well.

6.1 Description

6.2 Instruments

Self test will execute whenever the modem is turned on. If some faults detected, the
TAINET Network Series Modem will show an error message on LCD screen.

Some error messages are shown as follows:

LCD INTERFACE FAULT

CTS FAULT

LLU RAM FAULT
PLU RESPONSE FAULT
MNP MODULE FAULT
LLU EEPROM FAULT

For every three months, you should do the following jobs.

(A) Turn the power off, open top cap, clean the modem, check the plugs, make sure

all the connectors are connected firmly.
