upgrading the TM

1’s software

1. Disconnect all connections from your TMA1, including the power connection

2. Connect the TAGtronic Programming Cable to the TAGtronic Bus connections, red to

black to

OUT

3. Connect the D-sub connector of the TAGtronic Programming Cable to the COM1 serial

interface of your PC

4. Run the TAGtronic Upgrade Wizard, version v2.25 (or later) from Microsoft Windows,

selecting Start > Programs > TAG McLaren Audio > Upgrade Wizard

5 Continue to follow the instructions of the upgrade wizard exactly. When asked by the

Upgrade Wizard to power up the TMA1 connect the power cable.

Please note that the

TMA1 will still light its blue power LED

(which is different to other TAG McLaren Audio

products) but it will wait for new software to be loaded.

Continue to follow exactly the instructions of the Upgrade Wizard! The TMA1 will be
detected as unit named

RS232

The upgrade process will take a little under 1 minute only.

6 After successful completion remove the TMA1‘s power cable and the TAGtronic

Programming Cable. Then reconnect the TMA1 to your system, connecting the TMA1‘s
power cable last. Don’t forget to power cycle the AV32R Dual processor to detect the
TMA1 controller.
