To Calibrate O

2

continued

7  Turn manual valve to STANDARD IN. Confirm that the flow-meter ball drops to zero. Turn on the

calibration gas and adjust the flow meter between 0.5 and 1.0.

8  Press the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the counts. Press LOCK SPAN when current counts

approach 8,000 ppm (for a calibration standard of 25 ppm.) After pressing LOCK SPAN and saving,

the span count and current count will be roughly equal. The O

2

 reading and calibration gas should

each read 25 ppm.

  Formula:

Max. Cts.  /  Full-scale range  x  Cal. Std.  =  Counts

  (32,000      /   100)

x  25

=  8,000

  (32,000      /  100)

x  50

=  16,000

Press the VERIFY CALIBRATION button. If the calibration was successful, the analyzer will display

“Calibration successful.”

9  Turn off the calibration gas bottle. Turn the manual calibration valve back to the SAMPLE IN position.
10  Press the Sensor Changed NO or YES button.
11  The PLC will return to the main screen. Press the SENSOR STATUS button.
12  The following screen will show the most recent calibration and sensor change.
