The CRITERION loudspeakers
TCI C2
The
TCI C2
is an extremely innovative centre
loudspeaker, designed to form the speech focal point in
a high-end surround system. That’s why it’s so important!
We have equipped the speaker with the finest sub-
assemblies from the
TCI series, including the high-tech
mid-range unit and the ethereal electrostatic high-
frequency units. It also features the carbon fibre bass
drivers employed in the
TCI 3R . All this means that the
TCI C2 is a genuine full-range loudspeaker, designed to
be set up as a small floor-standing unit under the screen,
or immediately adjacent to it. This centre speaker
exhibits the incredible dynamic range, exemplary high
resolution and ability to operate at very high levels as the
rest of the
TCI series. It has often been said that the
centre is the most important speaker in any high-end
surround system. With this innovative, no-compromise
loudspeaker we have satisfied the most demanding of all
requirements in this area.
TCI S3
The
TCI S2
constitutes yet another innovative member of
the TCI family. It forms an ideal surround or rear
loudspeaker, endowing the surround sound field with the
essential spatial depth and width. It is intended to be a
wall-mounting speaker, and is suitable for installation as
a side surround speaker close to the listening position in
a 6.1 or 7.1 arrangement, or as a rear speaker behind it.
In spite of its shallow cabinet depth of just 12 cm, the TCI
S2 is a full-range loudspeaker with very good low bass,
broad dynamic reserves and an enormous ability to
operate at high levels. The two super high-frequency
units are angled outward slightly in order to generate a
diffuse, indirect sound image, which works very well in
many surround set-ups. The tweeters can also be
connected to operate in phase or out of phase, i.e. as
dipole speakers.
