Back panel connections
ANALOG OUT
Analog audio output with fixed or variable output level.
In the operation mode
'Maximum / Fixed'
you can connect any pre-amplifiers
or integrated amplifiers with volume control.
In the operation mode
'Auto / Variable'
you can connect active loudspeakers
or power amplifiers having no volume control.
For details about the operation modes please see chapter
'System Settings,
System Configuration menu, Audio Volume'

If the
Music Player
is operated in a system wuith the
Power Plant
amplifuier, the volume control function of the
Music Player
is automatically
disabled.
The output sockets should be connected to the CD input sockets (INPUT) on
the pre-amplifier, integrated amplifier or receiver, maintaining the correct L/R
coding, i. e.:
'ANALOG OUTPUT L' to
'INPUT L'
'ANALOG OUTPUT R' to
'INPUT R'
FM / DAB ANT
(only with the optional
FM / DAB module installed)
Input for a DAB-Antenna
FM ANT
(antenna input)
This FM antenna input can be connected to a normal 75
Ω
FM home antenna
or to TV/FM cable networks.
DIGITAL OUT
Digital co-axial output for connection to an external digital/analogue converter
with an co-axial cable.
DIGITAL IN
Inputs for digital source devices with optical or coaxial digital audio output.
WLAN MAIN
Input socket for WLAN antenna
Automatic Activation of the WLAN Module
After powering on the
Music Player
detects if it is connected to a wired LAN
Network. If no wired LAN connection is found, the
Music Player
will
automatically activate ist WLAN module and it will try to get access to your
WLAN network.
Attention!
When WLAN shall be used, the LAN socket must be left unconnected.
LAN
Socket for connection to a wired LAN (Ethernet) home network.
If a LAN cable is connected this will have priority over wireless WLAN net-
works. The WLAN module of the
Music Player
will automatically be disabled.
USB
Socket for the connection of USB Storage devices (USB-sticks or USB hard
discs). The storage device must be formatted with a FAT16 or FAT32
filesystem.
The USB device (example 2,5 inch HDD) can be supplied with power from the
Music Player
via the USB socket provided the power consumption of the USB
device conforms to the USB standard.
