Pre amplifier functions of the Music Player
The
Music Player
can also be operated without an amplifier, i.e. with active
loudspeakers connected directly to it. For 'Stand-alone' mode the device
features a high-quality pre-amplifier with volume and tone controls. The pre
amplifier section can be bypassed by a gold contact relay to be completely
removed from the audio signal path.
Operation with
Power Plant
A
Power Plant
amplifier connected to the
Music Player
by an
E
LINK
cable is automatically detected by the
Music Player
and the pre amplifier
section will automatically be bypassed (High-Quality Direct Mode). In this case
volume and tone are adjusted on the Power Plant’s pre-amplifier.
Operation with other
integrated amplifiers
Other amplifiers than the
Power Plant
can not be detected automatically.
To achieve the highest possible audio quality with such amplifiers we
recommend to bypass the pre amplifier of the
Music Player
(High-Quality
Direct Mode) by switching to the setting Audio Volume = Maximum / Fixed in
the
System Configuration menu.
In this case volume and tone are adjusted
on the amplifiers.
Operation with active
loudspeakers or power
amplifiers
If operated with active speakers or power amplifiers volume and tone can be
controlled through the pre-amplifier of the
Music Player
. To enable the
Music Player
’s pre-amp section, please switch to Audio Volume = Auto /
Variable. In the
System Configuration menu.
