Regulatory Requirements

This scan element does not comply with 21 CFR 1040. It is to be used only as a component.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to comply with all federal laser safety regulations and submit
an FDA Laser Product Report.

Laser products are regulated by federal safety standards administered by the Center for
Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Food and Drug Administration.

The following label appears on the shipping tray.

Europe. This scan engine (SE 2223/3223) is designed to comply with the U.S. and foreign
