Setting or Releasing the Title Protection

Follow the steps 1 to 3 in “Putting
Names on Titles” on page 73 to
display “Edit” menu.

press [ENTER].

Confirm the indication
“OFF
ON”. Press [ENTER] again.
• If the title is already protected, “ON
OFF” will
appear. If you press
[ENTER]
, the title will be
released from protection.

Press [RETURN ] and then [RETURN

Data will be written onto the disc momentarily.
This operation may take
awhile to be completed.
To protect a whole disc
(VR mode DVD-RW only):
Select “Disc Protect OFF
ON” from the DVD
Menu, then select “Yes”.
Refer to “SETTING A DISC TO PROTECT” on page
39.
To prevent the accidental editing, or erasing of the titles,
you can protect them in “Edit” menu.
You can cancel the title protection feature after it is
applied.
