7 Installation requirements
■
Installation height from the ground: min. 2.3 m
■
Distance between ceiling and product: min. 5 cm
■
The product must only be operated on mains voltage.
■
The product must be protected by a 10/16A fuse in the building’s fuse box. A ground
fault circuit interrupter must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
■
Install a switch to control the on/off state of the product. Distance between contact points
of polarity switch: min. 3 mm.
■
The air temperature must not 45 °C.
■
Do not install the product in a wet or highly humid location.
■
For use with fireplaces that require a chimney in the room to be ventilated, sufficient air
intake must be provided for the use of the product as an exhaust fan.
Compliance
■
The installation of the product must comply with
DIN VDE 0100-701
. Observe the protec-
tion zones for rooms with bath or shower.
■
Make sure that rotating parts cannot be disturbed. Mount a suitable
DIN 31001
compliant
protective grille, if necessary.
■
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer’s liability
insurance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to be observed.
Duct
■
Prevent backflow.
■
Make sure that no water can enter the suction duct. Install a suitable protection (ex-
ample: self-closing louver grills), if necessary.
■
For installations in flexible ducts, use suitable fastening clamps.

9 Cleaning and care
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions.
They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Disconnect the product from the power supply.
2. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
10 Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on
the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of
as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators,
which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from
the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the
WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-
