e) Night vision with IR LED
• In infrared mode, you can capture videos and photos (up to
approx. 0.5 m) in the dark. The recordings are black and white
in darkness.
• Hold down the Mode button (8) in video or photo standby mode
for approx. 3 – 4 seconds to turn on the four IR LEDs (5). Hold
down the Mode button for approx. 3 – 4 seconds to turn off
the IR LEDs.
• Press and hold the on/off button for approx. 3 seconds to turn
off the camera function.
f) Sound recording
• Press the Mode button in photo standby mode (red LED is lit
steadily). The red LED and the blue LED are lit steadily.
• Press the on/off button once to start sound recording. The
red and blue LEDs flash at regular intervals during sound
recording.
• Press the on/off button again to stop the sound recording. The
red and blue LEDs are lit steadily, indicating that the recording
has been saved.
• For recording in adverse environmental conditions such as
a strong storm, you can turn the crown with the microphone
opening (4) counter-clockwise and replace it with the supplied
replacement crown without opening. This protects the
microphone. A sound recording is then not possible.
