You can adjust the volume on the base unit to one of 5 levels while the message is playing.

Screening calls
You can use the loudspeaker on the base unit to listen to incoming calls without actually answering
them. In this case, the Call Screen function must be activated in the menu;

To alter the volume while screening a call, press the and keys.
Taking a call being recorded
It is possible to take a call even if the answering machine has already begun to record it. Record-
ing of the message is stopped in this case.
