Replacing the battery
If the information in the display has a poor contrast or the battery icon ap-
pears, the battery charge capacity is low: Change the battery.
1.
Pull off the battery compartment cover.
2.
Pull the battery compartment out (approx. 1 cm).
3.
Remove the battery.
4.
Insert a new battery. The flat side of the battery must face upwards (+).
5.
Slide the battery compartment back in.
6.
Press the battery compartment cover on until it audibly snaps into place.

Setting the unit of measurement
The temperature measured can be displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees
Fahrenheit.
1.
When the thermometer is switched off, press and hold the
On/Off button
.
The icon at the top right of the display alternates between °C and °F.
2.
Release the
On/Off button
when the unit of measurement you want is dis-
played.
3.
Press the
On/Off button
to switch the thermometer off.
