Making calls with VoIP and
the fixed network
Making an external call
External calls are calls made via the public
telephone network (fixed network) or via
the Internet (VoIP). You determine what
type of connection you want to use when
you dial.
Selecting and calling up the type of
connection via the talk key

A default connection is established on
your phone (fixed network or VoIP).

Notes:
On your base station you can make two exter-
nal calls at once (to two handsets), two calls
via VoIP, or one call each via VoIP and via the
fixed network.
Note:
If you use a different GAP-compatible handset,
all calls will be made via the default connec-
tion, even if you press and hold the talk key
c
. If you want to use the non-default con-
nection to make a call, enter a star (*) at the
end of the number.
Note:
If you have assigned several VoIP phone num-
bers to your phone, you can set the VoIP
number (account) that is to be used for calls
for each individual handset (handset send
number).
