SERVICE & ADJUSTMENTS

Removal

Apply parking brake.
Turn off machine and disconnect spark plug wires.
Lower the deck to its lowest position.
Open the belt covers (not shown).
Release the tensioning idler lever(s) by pulling them out
from under the lever latch, lift up slightly and release
the spring tension.
Once loose, remove the belt from the deck.

2. Right Deck Belt: PN 21416
3. Idler Tension Lever.
4. Tensioning Idler
5. PTO Shaft (Input)

Replacement

Install new belt by placing it around all pulleys. Refer to
routing diagram below.
The belt should be loose at this time.
Return the idler tensioning lever to its original location.
Close the belt covers.
Reconnect the spark plugs.
