TROUBLESHOOTING

This troubleshooting guide is provided to
help you find the cause of some common
complaints.

COMPLAINT:

 Engine is hard to start or

does not start at all.

IGNITION SYSTEM CHECK

1. Remove the spark plug and reattach it to

the spark plug cap.

2. While holding the spark plug firmly

against the engine, crank the engine
with the ignition switch in the “ON” posi-
tion. If the ignition system is operating
properly, a blue spark should jump
across the spark plug gap. If there is no
spark, consult your Suzuki dealer for
repairs.

NOTICE

Improper repairs or adjustments may
damage the motorcycle instead of fixing
it. Such damage may not be covered
under warranty.

If you are not sure about the proper
action, consult your Suzuki dealer about
the problem.
