Brake pad mounting pin

Inspect the brake pad mounting pins for wear or
damage. If any defects are found, replace the mounting
pin with new ones.

Brake caliper slide pin

Inspect the brake caliper slide pin for wear or damage. If
any damage is found, replace it with a new one.

Brake pad spring

Inspect the brake pad spring for damage or excessive
bend. If any damage is found, replace it with a new one.

Brake caliper holder

• Inspect the brake caliper holder and pin for damage. If

any damage is found, replace it with a new ones.

Removal

1) Remove the rear sprocket assembly. Refer to “Rear

Sprocket Removal and Installation in Section 3A
(Page 3A-5)”.

2) Remove the rear brake caliper. Refer to “Rear Brake

Pad Replacement (Page 4C-2)”.

3) Remove the rear axle (1) to the right side.

4) Remove the brake disc (2).
