• Remove the retainer

 

BRAKE DRUM

 

Inspect the brake drum and measure the brake drum I.D. to 
determine the extent of wear. Replace the brake drum if the 
measurement  exceeds the service  limit.  The  value  of  this 

limit is indicated inside the brake drum.

calipers Service Limit: 130.7 mm 

(5.15 in)

 

BRAKE SHOES

 

Check the brake shoes and decide whether it should be 
replaced or not from the thickness of the brake shoe lining.

 

Service Limit: 1.5 mm (0.06 in)

 

A CAUTION

 

Replace the brake shoes as a set, otherwise braking 
performance will be adversely affected.

 

REAR SPROCKET DAMPER

 

Inspect the rear sprocket damper for wear and damage. 
Replace the rear sprocket damper if there is anything un-
usual.

 

REAR SPROCKET

 

Inspect the sprocket's teeth for wear. If they are worn, re-
place the sprocket and drive chain as a set.
